The Knowledge of AIDS Research Collaboration Network supports scholarly community building efforts through the distribution of small grants, which fund network members' projects.
Grant-funded projects are each distinctly related to the network’s themes: Archives of HIV/AIDS, Expertise and HIV/AIDS, and Participation and HIV/AIDS. KOA workshops were generative spaces for developing ideas for grant-funded projects. All funded projects include one or more members of the KOA Research Community Development network, and are oriented towards larger collaborative scholarly outputs and long-term enduring collaborations.
